Description
19th-CENTURY DUTCH SCHOOL, after Joseph-Denis ODEVAERE (1775–1830) and engraved by Willem van SENUS (c. 1773–1851) Title: His Royal Highness William, Prince of Orange, at the memorable Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815, wounded at the moment of victory. Technique: Antique engraving (probably pointillist / period aquatint), hand-coloured. Dimensions: 60 x 73.5 cm. Condition: Age-related foxing and general sun-fading of the paper. Set in a 19th-century gilt wooden moulded frame (with minor chips).
