Flemish school, c. 1600, follower of Antonio Moro – Presumed portrait of Ferdinand I (1503–1564) – Canvas Height: 96.5 cm – Width: 83 cm – Unframed Previous restorations, lifting of the canvas Our subject wears a necklace adorned with a ram’s fleece suspended from a chain. This is the symbol of the Order of the Golden Fleece, founded in 1430 by Philip the Good (1396–1467). Also visible on his staff are the coats of arms of Navarre, Castile and Aragon.
