Carlos Mata (Palma de Mallorca, 1949 - Barcelona, 2008) 'Horse' Bronze sculpture. Signed and numbered​​​​​​​ 1/1. Unique piece. 29 x 19,4 x 6,5 cm. As explained by the Fundació Vila Casas, “his work is characterised by simple lines, yet with a strong personality. Horses, bulls and cows are a common reference throughout his artistic production, the result of his experiences in his homeland. The material he uses most is bronze [as in our case], but he also works with wood, glass and cast iron. Nude figures stripped of all mannerism, primitive forms that evoke the origin and essence of humanity.” Throughout his career, he exhibited in numerous museums and art fairs in the United States, France and Switzerland, as well as in Argentina, Hong Kong and Lebanon, in addition to Germany, Austria and, of course, Spain, among others.
