A set of three gold and enamel boxes, late 18th–early 19th century, comprising: – a round box in gold and blue enamel, the lid decorated with a polychrome miniature depicting a young woman seated near a fountain in a landscape, surprised by a young man, set within a border of half-pearls, the belt and background enamelled in translucent blue on a guilloché ground, highlighted by white enamelled friezes and gold foliage motifs, – an oval box in chiselled and enamelled gold, the lid centred with a polychrome miniature depicting a young woman in bust form wearing a turban, surrounded by foliage motifs enhanced with blue enamel, the band chiselled with panels featuring scrollwork and geometric motifs, – an oval gold and polychrome enamel snuff box, the lid decorated with a guilloché-enamelled design, centred on a blue enamel medallion featuring a gold motif of an ancient altar, set within a border of medallions and a polychrome enamelled floral frieze, the rim chiselled and engraved with medallions and geometric panels.
