A Louis XV-style coffee table, stamped ‘F.BAYER’, in rosewood veneer with marquetry featuring floral motifs, musical motifs and vases of flowers; the front opens via a sliding panel, whilst one side opens to reveal two drawers, the side panels connected by a cross-braced shelf and finished with brass castors, 74x57x37 cm François Bayer, admitted as a master in 1764 cracks on the sides, the back and the tops losses and repairs to the veneer scratches and marks on the varnish presence of damp stains
