Gallé, in carved and openwork beech featuring plant motifs and dragonflies, with marquetry depicting a landscape with a pond, dragonflies, plant motifs and mushrooms, opening at the front via two doors and a drawer, front legs shaped like frogs’ thighs, 163x67x40 cm (in need of restoration) A similar cabinet is illustrated in: - Duncan Alastair and de Bartha Georges, *Gallé Furniture*, Antique Collectors’ Club, Woodbridge, Suffolk, 2012, p. 288 A similar cabinet sold at: Christie’s, Paris, 4 October 2022, lot no. 25 cabinet in poor condition: missing carvings, stains and water marks, scratches and marks on the varnish, front leg needs re-gluing, one rear leg missing sun damage to the varnish no key one door panel needs re-attaching the bronze lock plates on the drawer are missing
