Description
BADIÉ Paul (born 1945) – Pair of stoneware bowls decorated with red copper-oxide glaze, accented with iron-oxide glazes, signed with the artist’s mark on the base. Circa 1960. Diameter 9 cm, height 6 cm. Note: Paul Badié opened his first studio in the south of France in the early 1970s, following training in Castelnaudary and a period working in various studios. His production of glazed stoneware and porcelain, influenced by Asian traditions, developed over the course of about a decade. He gradually withdrew from ceramics during the 1980s, following his departure from France. He subsequently devoted himself mainly to painting.
