QUILLIVIC René (1879–1969) & HB Quimper – Truncated conical earthenware bowl with a polychrome decoration in slight relief, depicting ocean waves. Diameter: 20 cm; Height: 11 cm. (Small glaze irregularities) Note: René Quillivic (1879–1969) was a sculptor, engraver and ceramicist originally from Plouhinec in Finistère. Trained in Paris, he developed a body of work centred on Breton figures and became particularly well known for his post-First World War memorials. His works are now held, notably, at the Quimper Museum of Fine Arts.
