Description
LIEBENTHRON Gerhard (1925–2005) – A hand-modelled stoneware wall panel depicting a tree with branches adorned with five owls in various poses. Signed ‘GL’ and dated (19)78 on the reverse. Height: 34 cm. Note: Gerhard Liebenthron was a German ceramicist active in Bremen from the 1950s onwards.
He worked mainly with stoneware and chamotte clay, creating simple and often brutalist forms.
