After studying at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Grenoble, Claude Garanjoud taught drawing until 1958. He worked in painting on canvas, ink on paper, collages and engraving. He painted minimalist seascapes until around 1975 and, in the 1980s, mountain landscapes, notably the “Hivers” series.
