After training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Caen and the Académie Julian in Paris, Alain Le Foll specialised in editorial illustration, advertising, children’s book illustration and lithography. Also working in the fields of decorative arts and design, from 1962 onwards he collaborated with the German manufacturer Rosenthal on the production of porcelain pieces and with the Alsatian manufacturer Zuber on the creation of wallpaper.
