Description
TSUKIOKA KOGYO (1869–1927). Two prints, surimono, shikishiban: *Rat Nibbling a Radish* and *Mandarin Ducks and Plum Blossoms*. Signed Kogyo and bearing the seals Toshihisa and Kogyo. Publisher: Matsuki Heikichi. Gofun highlights. (Creases, trimmed, slightly sun-faded, upper corner glued, small tears, lined) Length 23 cm – Width 24 cm Also included: A set of TALISMANS made of yellow and red paper used in Taoist temples, printed with images of Taoist deities and incantations, China. Reference: Two similar prints held at the British Museum, nos. 1946,0209,0.125 and 1906,1220,0.1676. These two surimono form part of a series of fifty kacho-e (flowers and birds) produced by Kogyo, primarily for export. Lot to be collected from the office at 8 rue Rossini, Paris 9th arrondissement, from 17 July 2026 at 3.00 pm.
