BALUSTER VASE, CHINA, 18th CENTURY. In bronze with silver filigree decoration comprising two geometric friezes on the neck and shoulder; the second frieze is adorned with medallions featuring filigree floral motifs and two applied qilim faces forming handles.
Inscription on the reverse: Huang kao zhi bao, fu zuo zi zi yong yong (‘a treasure crafted by the father, which future generations will cherish and use from generation to generation’)
