RAJABU CHIWAYA (1951–2004). Impala and exotic birds Canvas Signed at the bottom: Chiwaya Unframed Damage Height 60 cm – Width 49.5 cm Rajabu Chiwaya was born in Tanzania in 1951 and began his career as a painter in 1974. He worked within the Tinga Tinga Partnership Society, where he trained some of his children, a number of whom have followed in their father’s footsteps. Rajabu Chiwaya works primarily in oil and acrylic, layering motifs to create a sense of dynamism on the canvas.
