Description
ERNEST EYMONAUD AND ABEL BATAILLARD, CIRCA 1895–1900 - LOUIS XII-STYLE PANELLED SIDEBOARD, in carved wood with bas-relief and orb-and-wreath decoration within architectural niches, featuring saints and fleurs-de-lis. The upper section opens via two doors decorated with scenes from the Annunciation, surmounting a third door; all three doors are fitted with secret locks crafted by Abel Bataillard.
The lower section is recessed and decorated with arcades, whilst the base is a plinth.

This cabinet is a copy of a Louis XII-period model held at the Cluny Museum
Provenance: the collection of Jean Pierre Guigo Bataillard; has remained in the family ever since.
