The Soudaïev (or Sudaev) Soviet PPS machine pistol is a machine pistol designed as a model (PPS 42) by Alekseï Soudaïev during the siege of Leningrad in 1942. It was originally intended for tankers and scouts. By removing the wooden inserts from the PPS-42 and simplifying manufacture, Soudaïev created the PPS-43, which was produced in the Soviet Union until 1945. It was a rustic model made from pressed sheet metal with welded or riveted parts. 2+. Category C9 weapon. Firearms deactivated EU 2017.
