According to research, Vincent Vienckowski, regimental number 32778872, belonged to Company C of the 517th PIR. According to the Morning Report dated 15 August 1944, he was stationed at Cannio in Italy, before jumping over Provence. The stencilled name contains an error, but the laundry number in the collar clearly indicates that it was Vincent Vienckowski. He died on 20 February 2010. The piece shows some wear and patina, as well as stains and tears. Research documents are attached. Condition II+. 2+
