CHINA - GUANGXU period (1875 - 1908)
Ceremonial garment (Chao pao) in yellow silk embroidered with gold and polychrome threads of five-clawed dragons, depicted in front or in profile among clouds, above a band of lishui and sacred peaks.
The lower part is embroidered with dragons and medallions of dragons facing each other.
The twelve imperial emblems (Shi er zhang) are embroidered respectively on the upper and lower parts of this robe: eight motifs are embroidered on the upper part, and four on the lower part.
Cotton lining.
