ALPES-MARITIMES (06) - "VILLEFRANCHE-SUR-MER" (near NICE). 19th century. Original drawing (probably by Félix Benoist) in graphite, heightened with white gouache, on brown wove paper. Situated "Villefranche / près de Nice" in grey pencil lower left. Provenance: Fonds of the Charpentier workshop run by Pierre-Henri (1788-1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806-1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 20.3 x 32 cm. Condition B/C (traces of sun exposure).
