VENDEE (85) - [Vendée village with a bridge and washerwomen]. 19th century. Original drawing (probably by Félix Benoist) in graphite on wove paper. Provenance: Fonds of the Charpentier workshop run by Pierre-Henri (1788-1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806-1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 27 x 37.7 cm. Condition B (rare and slight handling stains on the edges, otherwise good condition).
