MARINE - LEDUC - L'IMPERATRICE EUGENIE, liner of the Compagnie Transatlantique (first liner built in Saint-Nazaire between 1862 and 1864). 19th century. Original lithograph in colours by Charles LEDUC (1831-1911). Signed in the plate. Proof on wove paper, printed by Becquet and published by F. Sinnett, in Paris. Margins. "L'Impératrice Eugénie" was the name of the first transatlantic liner built in France. It was also the first ship to be built in Saint-Nazaire, at the Scott shipyard, now known as Chantiers de l'Atlantique. 33 x 49 cm. Condition B (a few marginal stains, subject in good condition).
