A renowned essayist and literary critic, he devoted his life to the study of aesthetics in all its forms. A passionate collector, he is particularly interested in African and Oceanic art. Over the years, he has amassed an important collection of masks, statuettes and throwing weapons, reflecting his curious eye and his taste for beauty in all its forms. The collection of masks and statuettes was built up between 1970 and 1990, and the collection of throwing weapons between 1990 and 2000, and was acquired from renowned galleries in Geneva, Zurich, Paris and Brussels. It has remained in the family to this day.
