Living in Paris, he developed a body of work aimed at a cosmopolitan and wealthy clientele, seduced by a style in which modernity, balanced proportions and perfect execution were combined with rare elegance. His decorative vocabulary was based on the use of noble materials (bronze, leather, parchment, precious wood and stone), worked with remarkable craftsmanship. Behind the apparent sobriety of his creations lies a constant attention to textures, patinas and construction details, which become true aesthetic elements. This coffee table is a perfect example of Dupré-Lafon's quest for measured, timeless luxury: the patinated, gilded bronze structure meets the minerality of the Comblanchien stone top in a composition of pure lines, emblematic of Dupré-Lafon's modern refinement.
