With the arms of the Marquise de Pompadour 2) LA BORDE (Jean-Benjamin de). Mémoires Historiques sur Raoul de Coucy. Paris, Ph.-D. Pierres, 1781. In-12 bound in full red morocco, binding by Derome Le Jeune, arms of Pierre Adolphe du Cambout, Marquis de Coislin. 3) GROZELIER (Nicolas). Fables Nouvelles. Paris, chez Desaint &, Saillant, 1760. In-12 bound in full speckled calf, arms of Clermont d'Amboise. 6) Nineteenth century work rebound in an eighteenth century in-8° binding with the arms of a cardinal. 7) BURLAMAQUI (Jean-Jacques). Principles of the Law of Nature and People. Yverdon, 1766-1768. 8 vol. in-8° bound in full marbled havana calf, unidentified arms. The condition depends on the works, we will only discuss here the condition of the bindings: 1) Pompadour: good condition, 1 head joint restored 2) Marquis de Coislin: stains on upper board, jaws partially split, colour of morocco faded on 1st board 3) Jean d'Orléans: Some stains and rubbing on the boards, 1st plate slightly oiled. 4) Thou: epidermures and stains on the boards, 1st plate unstained 5) Clermont d'Amboise: good condition, some stains and rubbing to boards, jaws partially split 6) Cardinal: soiling, rubbing and scratches 7) Unidentified arms: lion in chief and three sheaves of wheat: bindings tired with one spine missing, jaws cracked, headpieces torn off, the arms are not always precisely stamped and have sometimes lost their gilt.
