In-4° bound in full fawn calf, spine ribbed and gilt, triple gilt fillet to covers, gilt roulette to edges, gilt inner lace, gilt edges. Later binding signed Champs. [1] f., 61 pp, [1] blank f. Embellished with an armorial title vignette, a head vignette and a cul-de-lampe, all engraved. First edition of this funeral oration. Charming copy, binding partly faded. Bookplate of Hector de Backer (1843-1925), a great Parisian bibliophile, and the armorial bookplate of Edgar Stern (1854-1937), a French banker and art collector.
