CORNEILLE (Pierre). Le Cid, Tragicomédie. Paris, Augustin Courbé and Pierre le Petit, s.d. [circa 1642]. In-12 bound in full cherry red morocco, spine ribbed and gilt, double fillet stamped framing the boards, inner dent. gilt. Later binding signed Galette. [4] ff. 88 pp. Decorated with bands, lettering and endpapers. A later edition than the original, but identical to the in-12 edition of 1637 with the same title frontispiece and the same "achevé d'imprimer". Only the name of Le Petit, as well as the contents of a few pages, make it possible to classify this edition after that of Targa. A very fine copy of this rare title.
