Paris, Imprimerie Royale, 1752-1754. 2 vol. in-4° bound in full speckled brown calf, spines decorated and gilt with the crowned royal cypher, triple gilt fillet framing the covers stamped in the centre with the gilt coat of arms of France, gilt roulette at the edges, red tr. mottled (Period binding). Vol.1: XV, 203 pp, Vol.2: VIII, 333 pp. First edition describing the collection of Louis XV and illustrated with 2 fleurons on the titles and 3 fine headpieces by Cochin, engraved by Gallimard and Cochin. A fine copy with the arms, probably added, stamped on the bindings.
