In-8° bound in full red morocco, smooth spine decorated with gilt, wide and rich gilt lace with foliate motifs framing the covers, gilt edges (Binding of the period). [6] ff, 159 pp, XX. With frontispiece and 29 engraved plates. Reprint of the famous 1718 edition, the engraved frontispiece of which still bears the date, but which is still recognisable by Cochin's 4 culs-de-lampe engraved especially for this edition. The illustration includes the plate known as the "petits pieds", attributed to the comte de Caylus. A charming copy, the pages of one section browned.
