Bound in the 19th c. by Chambolle-Duru. Vol.1: [4] ff, 468 pp, Vol.2: [5] ff, 516 pp. With 2 frontispieces, one after Le Brun, and 12 out-of-text figures engraved by François Chauveau. Fourth collective edition whose revision was interrupted by the death of the author. A very fine copy, partly washed, in a signed 19th century binding.
