Binding signed Devauchelle. First edition of the only novel by the author, who was killed in action in September 1914 at the age of 27. Numbered copy of the first thousand with all the remarks of the first edition: error in the numbering of the second chapter and the different numbers of the press proof from those on the cover, price clearly visible on the back of the original cover. A fine, well-established copy.
