In-4° full cherry morocco, spine with false nerves, author and title in gilt lettering, wide inner border with triple gilt fillet (Period binding). Published from the originals by Ad. Van Bever. Wood-engraved portrait of the author by G. Aubert. Edition of 840 copies, this one of 800 on large tinted vellum. A fine and unique copy, enriched with 24 original full-page drawings signed by Roger Ferrero, a Swiss illustrator and engraver born in 1915. Spine slightly oiled. Very good condition Binding: Very good condition of boards Spine slightly oiled with a few stains in the lower part Inside pages: Good condition, generally clean The drawings are protected by serpents The serpents are made of slightly acidic paper, which has sometimes caused oxidation of the pages they separate.
