Binding signed Stroobants. Vol.1: [2] ff, 555 pp, Vol.2: [2] ff, 510 pp. Decorated with 4 out-of-text vignettes. Collective edition, part original for the 3rd part. Enriched copy with an important autograph letter of 3 pp. in-4° signed by the author and dated March 1830, addressed to Constance Nairac, friend and confidante of the poetess. This intensely personal letter is a moving testimony to Marceline Desbordes-Valmore's intimate tone and painful sensitivity. It combines memories of bereavement, maternal concerns and contemporary literary news.
