DUBUFFET (Jean). Set of 2 first edition titles in a common black cloth slipcase:
1) L'Art brut préféré aux arts culturels. Paris, Galerie René Drouin, 1949. In-12 square, paperback. [27] pp. First edition of this catalogue of the exhibition organised by the Compagnie de l'Art brut in October 1949 at the Galerie René Drouin. Enriched with a postcard printed with Dubuffet's handwriting in facsimile inviting to the exhibition.
2) Pierre Bettencourt. Le Bal des Ardents. Saint-Maurice-d'Ételan, Le Solstice [Pierre Bettencourt], 1 June 1964 [1953]. In-12 paperback, illustrated cover. 96 pp., [1] f. With 7 illustrations by Dubuffet, including the cover. First edition of 1953, reissued in 1964. One of 33 numbered copies.
Very good condition of the modern slipcase and the 2 books.
The exhibition catalogue is protected by translucent florist's paper: the inside has no tears or stains, the paper is slightly yellowed due to age.
