FLAUBERT (Gustave). Set of 3 works in limited and numbered editions in identical signed bindings. 3 vol. in-8° bound in full midnight blue morocco, spine ribbed and gilt, boards decorated in the Duseuil style, double gilt fillet on the edges, gilt lace on the inside, gilt edges, in slipcase. Bindings signed Gruel.
1) Hérodias. Paris, Ferroud, 1892. Decorated with 21 compositions by G. Rochegrosse. Limited and numbered edition of 500, this one 1 of 250 on Arches vellum paper initialled by the publisher.
2) Un coeur simple. Paris, Ferroud, 1894. Illustrated with 23 compositions by Emile Adan and copper engravings by Champollion. Limited edition of 500, this being 1 of 200 first copies on Arches wove paper, initialled by the publisher. Enriched with a suite of B/W illustrations.
