Paris, librairie des bibliophiles, 1881. 10 vol. in-12 bound in red jansenist morocco, ribbed spine, gilt numeral stamped in the centre of the boards, double gilt fillet on the edges, inner lace, gilt edges. Binding signed Gruel. Decorated with 21 etchings by Adrien Lalauze. Charming edition reprinted from the original. Small numbered edition, ours one of 28 on Chine hors justification including the plates before the letter, enriched with a suite of 14 plates engraved on wove paper after Chasselat for the 1834 edition.
