[2] ff. 356 pp. First published in 1852 in Brussels (by A. Lebègue), Napoléon le Petit is a major political pamphlet by Victor Hugo, written shortly after the coup d'état of 2 December 1851 by Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte. Our edition is a later reprint, published after the fall of the Second Empire and Hugo's return to France. It is the 2nd French edition, published 5 years after the 1st in in-18 format. Our copy is enriched by a signed autograph letter from the author to one of his friends on the title page.
