MIDDIMAN (Samuel). Select Views in Great Britain... London, John &, Josiah Boydell, [circa 1812]. In-4° oblong bound in full brown calf, smooth spine decorated with gilt, gilt fillet framing the boards (Binding of the period). Adorned with 53 black engravings of English views, each accompanied by a leaflet in French and English describing the site depicted. Smudging on the first cover and several leaves, binding a little worn, foxing. Ex-libris of H. Tronchin, Bessinge library Fairly good condition Binding: Scratches to boards, jaws rubbed and weakened Smudging on first cover at lower right corner Upper spine torn Corners slightly dulled Inside pages: Mottling on several leaves (about half) at lower right-hand corner, in continuation of the mottling on the 1st plate Freckles on the plates (unevenly distributed across the pages)
