CIVIALE (Jean, Doctor). A Practical Treatise on Diseases of the Genitourinary System. Paris, Crochard et Cie, 1837 [-Fortin, Masson et Cie, 1841–1842]. 3 parts in 3 vols., in-8°, comprising XIX, 1 bl, 439 pp., 3 folding plates; IV, 471 pp., 4 folding plates; 519 pp. Fawn half-basane, long spine, title and volume numbers gilt, blue edges. (Contemporary binding). First edition, complete with all three parts of this treatise on urology: Diseases of the urethra, the bladder neck and the prostate, and the body of the bladder. The author was the first to practise lithotripsy. Some foxing; water stain on the title page and the first quire of Vol. I. A good copy nonetheless, complete with all its plates.
