Havana-coloured sheepskin, spine with 5 raised bands and floral decoration, title and volume labels in fawn morocco, gilt roulette on the edges, edges speckled with red. (Contemporary binding). A fine, expanded edition; the first edition dates from 1703. Remedies for all manner of diseases, many of which were presented for the first time, in particular the use of Ipecac (Ipecacuanha), which Helvétius was the first in Europe to recommend for cases of dysentery (II, 262).
