Small 8vo, 258, 2 blank leaves, [13] pp. Marbled fawn sheepskin, plain spine with decoration, gilt title, blind-stamped fillet on the covers, red edges. (18th-century binding, spine entirely re-made in the 19th century). A rare first edition of this work on the troubadours, written by the younger brother of NOSTRADAMUS. ‘This work is sought after and copies are not common’. (Brunet). From the library of the Sisteron historian Edouard de LAPLANE (1744–1870), bearing his engraved bookplate. Adams, N-347; Brunet, IV, 108; Baudrier, II, 163.
