Description
Royal Almanac, common year M. DCC. XCI. First presented to His Majesty in 1699 by Laurent d’Houry, publisher. Paris, Printed by the Widow d’Houry, [1791]. In-8°, 720 pp. Marbled fawn sheepskin, spine with five raised bands decorated with gilt fleurs-de-lis, title page and year in fawn morocco, gilt scrolls on the edges, red edges. (Contemporary binding).
The royal family of France is still listed, followed by those of foreign courts and then the clergy, before the pages devoted to the National Assembly.
Numerous annotations and additions in ink, probably made around 1794 (mention of ‘guillotined in Year II’), including a supplement to the list of Secretaries of the National Assembly for that year.
The map of France is missing. The binding is worn, with some water stains.
