Mottled fawn sheepskin, spine with 5 decorated raised bands, title page in light morocco, volume pages in fawn morocco, speckled edges (contemporary binding).
Each year is divided into two semesters, comprising two volumes. 58 years. Missing: 1741, vol. I; 1744, vol. II; 1765, vol. II; the years 1771–1775; 1776, vol. I; and 1778, vol. II.
*Le Mercure historique et politique* is a French journal published in the Netherlands between 1686 and 1782, providing a monthly account of news from France and various European countries.
Some monthly title pages are preserved; foxing; edges trimmed short. The spines vary according to the period; a few very slight defects to the bindings. Very good overall condition.
