ROUEN or PARIS Very large earthenware jug with a triple-coiled handle, decorated in shades of blue with three mascarons linked by hanging garlands of flowers and bursting pomegranates, set against a background of foliage, trelliswork and lambrequins around the neck. 18th century H. 56 cm The footring is damaged with staples beneath the base; the spout has undergone earlier restoration.
