PRINCE IMPERIAL BLOTTER Large double blotter with numerous traces of writing. 43 x 30 cm. Contained in an envelope with mourning border annotated in pen "Buvard que le Prince Impérial avait dans ses papiers au Zululand en juin 1879". "Given by H.I.H. Prince Napoleon to Mis de Girardin on 21 July 1921". A.B.E. (Wear to the folds, small tears). The Marquis Fernand de Girardin was one of Prince Victor's most trusted confidants and one of the executors of Empress Eugénie's will.
