WOMEN / AEROSPACE - Élisa GARNERIN (1791-1853), second woman to parachute jump, niece of the balloonist and first parachutist in history André-Jacques Garnerin. Letter signed to the Duc de Feltre (1765-1818), Minister of War under Louis XVIII. Paris, 4 February 1816. She requests authorisation to make her second parachute descent, on 18 February, onto the Champs-de-Mars in Paris.
