ORDER OF THE LEGION OF HONOUR (1802) – SECOND RESTORATION (1815–1830) – OFFICER’S STAR, miniature version in chiselled gold and enamel, hallmarked with a ram’s head, gross weight: 6.3 grams, 64 x 41 mm, obverse bearing the effigy of Henry IV (head turned to the right) on a radiating background marked ‘HENRY IV KING OF FRANCE AND N.’, reverse featuring three fleurs-de-lis on a lined background and the inscription ‘HONNEUR ET PATRIE’, ornate foliage, a crown surmounted by a fleur-de-lis, a fluted ring, minor chips in the white enamel at certain points and in the blue enamel at the centres, without a ribbon, ABE.
