IMPORTANT AND BEAUTIFUL "LION" BASIN (MAJNA) FROM QALLALINE A very large basin with high sides, made of glazed ceramic in polychrome yellow, blue, green and manganese, decorated with a lion walking amongst foliage in a central medallion, the rim adorned with eight petals featuring motifs of facing birds and stylised scales, the rim embellished with a frieze of brown striations.
