LARGE TILE, QÂJÂR IRAN
rectangular in shape, made of siliceous earthenware, with moulded decoration and painted in polychrome, depicting an architectural scene by the water’s edge, rendered in reserve against a background of palmette scrolls set against a midnight blue background. A plant frieze at the bottom completes the ornamentation.
