Description
LARGE TILE, QÂJÂR IRAN rectangular in shape, made of siliceous earthenware, with moulded decoration and painted in polychrome, depicting an architectural scene by the water’s edge, rendered in reserve against a background of palmette scrolls set against a midnight blue background. A plant frieze at the bottom completes the ornamentation. (Restored cracks). A FRAMED GLAZED EARTHENWARE MOLDED WALL CERAMIC TILE WITH AN ARCHITECTURAL SCENE, IRAN QÂJÂR PERIOD, CA. 1880–1910.
