Description
A SET OF TWO MODELS OF THE ALHAMBRA’S FACADE in carved and chiselled stucco, painted in polychrome and gilded with arabesques and bands of calligraphy bearing the Nasrid motto; the larger one features a series of arches surmounted by three windows, the smaller one adorned with a double row of arches joined by a column. In oriental-style inlaid wooden frames. The backgrounds of the decoration are adorned with orientalist gouaches on paper. Inscribed ‘GRANADA’ in the lower right-hand corner; one bears the inscription ‘Rafael Rus Acosta’ in the lower left-hand corner. (Damage and restoration). Spain, Granada, early 20th century.
