"CHIBOUK" PIPE FOR THE OTTOMAN MARKET with a terracotta bowl (probably Tophané or Terra Lemnia), carved and inlaid with cameos, semi-precious stones, turquoise and pearls; lid with a scalloped rim in gold (750/1000) and gilded copper. Two-part screw-fit stem, in carved black wood inlaid with turquoise cabochons, semi-precious stones and turquoise, with additional decoration of turned ivory balls. In its box, covered in brown leather. (Signs of wear, restoration, cracks, detached turquoise cabochon). European work for the Ottoman Turkish market, 19th century.
